EcoTerra insulation system with WALLTITEECO
Only Alouette Homes can offer you the best insulation system on the market: the EcoTerra wall with WALLTITEECOTM insulation, from the experts at BASF. This system provides for a 38% superior thermic performance in comparison with traditional wall construction. Not only is this material made from recyclable and renewable sources, it has no negative effect on the ozone layer. The properties of the WALLTITEECOTM have earned it an EcoLogoTM certification, the most prestigious environmental approval in North America.
Sprayed in liquid form, the polyurethane foam expands and hardens in a matter of seconds and functions as an insulator, an air barrier and a vapour barrier. This insulating foam surpasses the requirements of the National Building Code, and is 22% more effective than the requirements of Novoclimat. The reliability of this system is based on the quality control requirements of the product and the expertise of the trained and certified installers. The EcoTerra wall system can be completed 5 times faster than traditional insulation. This means that your new home benefits from a superior product without you having to pay a greater price.
Not only does Alouette guarantee you the best insulating system available, but the best products throughout each step of your project

MORE WOOD = LESS INSULATION
- The framing system used in the ÉcoTerraTM wall system meets all structural requirements of the National Building Code of Canada
- Its racking strength is superior to that in a conventionally framed wall
- It represents a more responsible use of our precious natural resources
- It performs better while using less wood
- The 2x4 version is thinner than conventional walls, resulting in more interior space
THE ÉCOTERRATM SYSTEM = 38% HIGHER
THERMAL PERFORMANCE
- The total thermal resistance of the ÉcoTerra wall system is R-30.29 (or better) while a conventional wall only provides R-22.64
- Its effective thermal performance is 38% higher than a conventional wall - (R-25.83 vs. R-18.72
- It eliminates thermal bridging through the wood frame
REDUCED AIR LEAKAGE = THERMAL
PERFORMANCE + COMFORT + DURABILITY
- Building regulations recognize the impact that reducing air leakage has on thermal performance, occupant comfort and how long the building will last
- No other insulating system provides better performance against leakage through the building envelope than does expanding, adhesive foam insulation
- The thermal and air barrier performance of the sprayed polyurethane eliminates the air moving through and around it as are other insulation types
- Fiber insulation + membrane = Perforations and air infiltration = Reduced thermal performance
BASF CANADA'S WALLTITEECOTM SURPASSES THE CANADIAN STANDARD AND IS, SO FAR,
THE ONLY POLYURETHANE SPRAY FOAM APPROVED AS AN AIR BARRIER SYSTEM BY CCMC OWNED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

- It uses polyols made of recycled materials
- It includes polyols from castor oil, a non-edible crop that does not jeopardize global food production
- It conforms to the requirements of CAN/ULC-S102 (including S127) regarding Flame Spread and Smoke Generation
- It uses zero-ozone-depleting blowing-agent technologies
- As an insulation / air barrier system, it boasts
- WALLTITEECOTM has attained EcoLogoTM certification—North America’s most widely recognized and respected multi-attribute environmental certification mark
